Pokémon has taken the world by storm again, proving that legends never die. After the release and success of "Pokémon Go" and the highly-anticipated roll out of "Pokémon Sun" and "Pokémon Moon" comes the distribution of "Pokémon the Movie: Volcanion and the Mechanical Marvel."
The Pokémon Company International launched the official English-language website dedicated to the film and released its first-ever English-dubbed trailer. The trailer introduced Magaerna, the new Mythical Pokémon, which will play a key role in the movie.
The official synopsis for "Pokémon the Movie: Volcanion and Mechanical Marvel" reads: "A mysterious force binds Ash to the Mythical Pokémon Volcanion when it falls from the sky. Volcanion can't get away, and Ash is dragged along as it continues on its mission."
Magaerna was also briefly described. According to Anime News Network, the said Pokémon was created 500 years ago and a corrupt minister is planning to use its mysterious powers to rule over the mechanical kingdom.
"Pokémon the Movie: Volcanion and the Mechanical Marvel" is set to be released later this year.
Meanwhile Volcanion will begin distribution this fall. The Legendary Pokémon will be at level 70 when players get to import the character into Nintendo 3DS games such as "Pokémon X & Y" as well as the "Omega Ruby" and "Alpha Sapphire" editions. According to Polygon, it has one hold item that features special fire- and water-type movesets. Players can pick up the Legendary Pokémon via codes sold at official retailers.
Trading Card Game enthusiasts can also get hold of Volcanion in the newest expansion pack, "Pokémon TCG: XY - Steam Siege". 115 new cards will be launched, which includes the BREAK evolution mechanic such as the Xerneas BREAK and Yveltal BREAK, among others.
Volcanion is the first fire and water-type Pokémon, making it a hot commodity for fans of the hit franchise.
The launch event is in line with the official release of the upcoming "Pokémon" movie.
Although no official release date has been set for the English version of "Pokémon the Movie: Volcanion and Mechanical Marvel," the movie is expected to come out later this year.
