Because of the positive feedback from the consumers on the first Surface Book, a lot of people are really looking forward for the release of Microsoft's Surface Book 2; however, it was recently reported that the company pushed back the laptop's release due to major tweaks and upgrades.
According to Game n Guide, the reason behind the postponed release date of the Surface Book 2 is Microsoft's decision to ramp up the aesthetics of the upcoming laptop and add some different features to it.
The same publication reported that the second Surface Book would be slimmer and slicker than the first one, although it is still unknown how the laptop would actually look like. However, rumor has it that Microsoft has given the upcoming Surface Book a major make over.
When it comes to Surface Book 2's specs, Microsoft has also topped up their game and equipped the second iteration with a much better internal enhancement. It is believed that Surface Book 2 would have a much better processor, which is one of the reasons why Surface Book 2's launch was pushed back to 2017. It is said that Microsoft is waiting for the release of Intel Kaby Lake processors that is believed to be incorporated in the upcoming Surface Book 2.
According to Vine Report, some of the features that the upcoming Surface Book might have includes a power saving feature, a USB type C port that would allow the Surface Book 2 to quickly transmit and receive data and a 4k resolution display.
Microsoft hasn't released any official list of the Surface Book 2's specs and features, but what we know is that the upcoming gadget would be much better than the first one. Not only did Microsoft revamped its external features, they also made sure that all internal enhancements would be twice as better than what Surface Book 1 have.
Up until today, the specific release date for the Surface Book 2 is still unknown, but it is confirmed that the laptop would not be launched any time this year.
