Great news for basketball enthusiasts all over the world, as Adidas recently released the D Lillard 1 All-Star edition. It was worn on court by Damian Lillard of the Portland Trail Blazers during his second consecutive All-Star game appearance for NBA earlier this February.
The new signature kicks, with a design that coordinates with the 2015 NBA All-Star jerseys, feature white leather on the upper portion of the shoes and a white snakeskin logo and print on the back panel.
The latest edition bears black accents for contrast. To compliment the Adidas branding in metallic gold is the "DAME" detailing in a similar hue.
The latest edition was built with the player's speed and agility on the court in mind. Just this January, Adidas also released the D Lillard 1 shoes that feature a full-length ADIPRENE for a more optimized rebounding and cushioning, as reported by NBC Sports. They carry the same Damian Lillard signature details, but bear different colors.
While the All-Star edition is dominated by white, the previous is in black, with red and white accents. For traction, Adidas used the same wavebone pattern as that of the D Rose 5 built for Derrick Rose.
Lillard was announced to replace Blake Griffin after Griffin's reported injury for the NBA All-Star Game this year, USA Today reported.
Adidas immediately made the action to release the photos of its new signature shoe as an advertising move, rising the anticipation of sneakerheads and ballplayers alike.
The D Lillard 1 All-Star edition shoes debuted on Feb. 13th at the price of $105.
