Even before the premiere of the official "Pokémon Sun and Moon" trailer on Aug 12, some anonymous 4Chan users have already gotten their hands on some clips and screenshots, which reveal a set of unannounced Pokémon.
Scans posted from the latest issue of Corocoro magazine on Serebii help corroborate the screenshots of monsters like Wishiwashi, a water-type fish Pokémon who has two forms, and Pyukumuku. Another clip, which was pulled from the actual trailer, showed Wishiwashi's solo and school forms in action.
This gave some authenticity to the screenshots. Besides Wishiwashi, the second unveiled monster was Raichu. This is a new electric/ psychic-type from of the old-school Pokémon. Apparently, several first-gen Pokémon will be getting unique forms in the Alola region, and Raichu is one of them.
The next set of Pokémon, include Morelull, whose ability is to illuminate/ effect spore and Pyukumuku, whose ability is innards out. Notably, Morelull is a grass/ fairy-type Pokémon while Pyukumuku is a water-type.
According to Polygon, the leaks also revealed a member of the Team Skull, a villainous organization in "Pokémon Sun and Moon." The member was reportedly spotted in the new set of photos from the magazine, although the publication noted that no official material of Team Skull had been revealed yet.
4Chan users had posted a screenshot of Plumeria, described as "Team Skull's" big sister," in their accumulating roundup of "Sun and Moon News" section. The exact message in the caption of the photo read, "You have been challenged by Tam Skull Admin Plumeria!"
To confirm the authenticity of the new leaks, Polygon has reached out to The Pokémon Company and is yet to receive reliable updates. However, as mentioned earlier, there will be great "Pokémon Sun and Moon" news coming this week.
So, if the leaked photos are real, "Sun and Moon" fans will confirm by themselves when the official trailer drops this Friday. The fact that the leaks were posted by two different sources gives a glimpse of hope, but that does not change the point that nothing has been confirmed.
