"19 Kids and Counting" alum Josh Duggar's rumored appearance in "Jill & Jessa: Counting On" may be delayed due to his ongoing lawsuit.
According to multiple sources, a model and DJ who is based in LA filed a lawsuit against Duggar after the reality TV star was revealed to have used his photos on the online dating site OKCupid, as well as the extramarital affair site Ashley Madison.
TMZ reported that Matthew McCarthy alerted Duggar and asked him to take down his photos from the websites, but no avail. In the court documents filed in Los Angeles last week, McCarthy revealed that he was harassed by so many people when they thought that he was connected to Duggar and his sexual molestation and cheating scandals.
The publication also reported that McCarthy is running after Duggar and is demanding the reality TV star to pay him for all of the damages and stress he has experienced throughout the ordeal. Unfortunately, paying McCarthy may be a problem because Duggar is no starring in the cancelled reality TV show "19 Kids and Counting."
Meanwhile, there are rumors that Duggar will make appearances in the "19 Kids and Counting" spinoff "Jill & Jessa: Counting On" in order for him to be able to pay McCarthy. Unfortunately, he wouldn't be part of the first few episodes from season 2 because TLC no longer wants to be associated with any of Duggar's wrongful deeds.
A few months ago, the network decided to cancel "19 Kids and Counting" after advertisers pulled out from the show in the wake of Duggar's scandals. As such, re-inviting him to appear in the TV show may be very risky especially now that he has a lawsuit that he needs to fix.
In other news, TLC has already confirmed the appearance of Jinger Duggar and her fiancé Jeremy Vuolo in the spinoff. The couple was featured in the teaser for the reality TV show. It was also confirmed that Jinger and Vuolo's engagement will be part of "Jill & Jessa: Counting On" season 2.
"Jill & Jessa: Counting On" will premiere on TLC on Aug. 23.
