"Pretty Little Liars" executive producer Marlene King may have just hinted on Toby (Keegan Allen) and Spencer's (Troian Bellisario) reunion in the upcoming episodes.
On Tuesday night, Spencer urged Toby to leave Rosewood immediately so that A.D. will no longer be able to torment him. Toby was hesitant at first because he didn't want to leave Spencer and her friends behind, but he knew it was the right thing to do. Before leaving Rosewood, Toby told Spencer that the situation he is in at the moment with his fiancé may not be considered the perfect scenario that he's been picturing in his head. However, he added that it's somewhat close.
Toby was obviously referring to his relationship with Spencer. The two characters were in a relationship for a very long time so it's quite difficult for them to let go of each other.
Following the episode, King urged fans to focus on Toby and Spencer's conversation and look for layers or hidden messages that may suggest what's in store for their future.
"For Spoby fans, understand the beauty and romance in their last scene 2nite. Look for the layers and honesty. There is so much going on," she wrote.
In a follow up tweet, King thanked Allen and Bellisario for bringing so much emotion to the audiences.
Meanwhile, there are rumors that Toby will eventually be killed off in the series. Bellisario previously admitted that she became a tad bit emotional after one of her scenes with Toby. Immediately after, fans started speculating that it could be because Toby will be killed off.
However, it seems that Bellisario became emotional at the thought that Toby and Spencer will no longer be physically together. But since this is King's show, anything is still possible.
"Pretty Little Liars" season 7 airs Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET on Freeform.
