"Stranger Things" Season 2 has not been commissioned yet, but it is only a matter of time before it is done. Fans are waiting to find out if Eleven is alive and given the intriguing acts of chief Jim Hopper, it seems she still exists.
As for Hopper, the second season is going to revolve around him a good deal, Movie Pilot claims. He might be more involved in the happenings than we may have thought. The chief is very much involved with the police department but he is also withholding information about Eleven as he secretly left the food parcel in the jungle.
According to a Reddit user, he is working with the government to find alternate realities as he has been through the Upside Down world and returned unharmed from it. Giving more power to the speculation is David Harbour's (Jim Hopper) statements, he made during an interview with The Daily Beast. Harbour said that Hopper is involved a little more deeply than all may realize and this is partly because he has some sort of understanding of the Upside Down world that other people don't have.
The actor also said that Hopper would do anything to meet his daughter. So, it is quite possible that he is searching alternate realities with the hopes of finding his daughter. The idea seems more valid in view of his final moments shot with her that we saw intermingling with that of him rescuing Will. As for Eleven, Harbour did not say anything clearly but made an interesting remark.
He said that Hopper may understand that Eleven still exists in some form and this is why he left her a box of food in the woods. However, he added that these questions can only be explored when season 2 returns and the storyline progresses.
Well, Hopper is one of the most interesting characters on the Netflix show and his evolution has been quite impressive. From a bully, he became a hero and with the threats and mysteries looming large over the denizens of Hawkins, he seems to be the ideal man to save them.
