"Scorpion" Season 3, episode 1 will kick off right where season 2 left off.

While at the 2016 San Diego Comic Con (via Spoilers Guide), executive producer Nicholas Wootton confirmed that majority of the cliffhangers from season 2 will be resolved immediately. More specifically, Wootton said that viewers will learn what happened to Walter (Elyes Gabe) during his trip to Tahoe. Details from Paige (Katharine McPhee) and Tim's (Scott Porter) date will also be unveiled.

Meanwhile, Jadyn Wong and Eddie Kaye Thomas also dished on what's in store for their respective characters in season 2. A few months ago, Thomas' character Toby proposed to his girlfriend Happy (Wong), but the latter refused. She later on confessed to still being married to her former partner. According to Wong, she was very pleased to find out the twist in her character's storyline. Thomas, on the other hand, was quite disappointed.

There are some rumors that season 2 will also reveal who Happy was previously married to. Wootton hinted that Happy's ex-husband is someone that no one would ever expect. The exec added that everyone was shocked when he told them who Happy's ex was so he knows that viewers will also be surprised to know who the mysterious person is.

In other news, McPhee talked about her character Paige and said that the latter somewhat accepted the fact that Walter might not be capable of loving her the same way that she loves him. "So her feelings for him kind of became a little dormant - they're always there, but she's a child and she needs to move on with her life. That's how I see it. And Walter really goes to Tahoe, and you have to watch the two-hour premiere to see how that goes," McPhee said.

"Scorpion" season 3 will premiere on CBS on Oct. 3 at 9 p.m. ET.
