On the line: While Argentina has already secured a slot in the quarterfinal round by virtue of their gutsy double overtime win over Brazil 111-107 on Saturday, Spain are on a precarious situation after splitting their first four games.

In order to advance to the knockout stages of the tournament, the Spaniards need a victory against Argentina, which is slowly becoming a force to reckon with as the tourney progresses.

Spain will continue to rely on their main man Pau Gasol, though they need another excellent showing from their supporting cast. On Saturday, the Spaniard dominated the erstwhile unbeaten Lithuanian team, thanks to great defense and contributions from all players on their roster.

As for the Argentine, they can't still afford to lose this match despite already clinching a final eight spot. In a very tight Group B battle, a victory would ensure Argentina a top-2 spot, thus avoiding a quarterfinal collision with gold medal favorite USA.

Croatia vs. Lithuania at 9:30 p.m US EST - Live on NBC and NBC Sports / Boxscores

On the line: For Croatia, a victory would move them to the quarterfinal round. As for Lithuania, a loss could mean an early round showdown with team USA while a victory will secure the top spot of Group B. That's how tight the standings in this Group.

After winning their first two matches against Spain and Brazil, Croatia dropped their last two games against Argentina and then Nigeria in group play. Lithuania, on the other hand, had been an immovable force through the first game until they received a dose of reality check in the form of a 50-point loss to Spain 109-59 on Saturday.

In a game where a team's medal hope is on the line, the upcoming Croatia-Lithuania contest is almost guaranteed to be an epic one. In the end, Lithuania will gut out a hard-earned victory to take the spot of Group B.
