Niantic has been reportedly handing out permanent bans for those who have been caught using Pokémon GO hacks, bots and fake GPS third-party apps.

The good news is that there is still no evidence that a Pokémon GO cheat user has been banned. Anti-bot players are just trying to scare those who have been successful at using bots and GPS spoofing techniques as Niantic recently implemented new and longer soft bans that can last up to 21 hours.

Pokémon GO bot developers have started to take their creations down, but the files can still be found with a simple Google search. Necrobot's 0.8.7 final release still works fine and can be used to farm items and candies to level up Pokémon.

Players who used bots are reportedly getting a lifetime ban, CNET has learned. However, there is no proof and most of the botters are now up and running again after the soft ban has been lifted.

Android's Xposed module Pokémon GO Controls and Mock Mock Location is still active for those who want to use fake GPS or GPS spoofing technique to catch Pokémon without having to leave their homes. There are a few tips to use the Pokémon GO hacks and cheats without getting banned.

Do not attempt to snipe Pokémon - One of the easiest way Niantic can track a cheater is if the bot teleports across the world just to catch a Gyarados, Kanghaskan or a Mewtwo.

Use GPS spoofing slowly - Going too fast can also raise some red flags. It is recommended to change the fake GPS app's settings to a slower and more natural walking speed.

Try and take down Pokémon Gyms - One thing that most Pokémon GO bots cannot do is to take over gyms. Once in a while, a player should try to battle a gym to let Niantic know that he or she is not using a bot.

Niantic has already posted a ban appeal page for those who think they have been wrongly banned, GameSpot reported. It increased the weight of all the speculations that permabans have started to roll out but there is still no truth to the claims.

Pokémon GO hacks and cheats can still be used to this day. Players should just emulate their bot and GPS spoofing to be more "human-like" in order not to raise some suspicions on Niantic's end. The longest soft ban is just 21 hours long and no permanent bans have been handed out yet.
