Paul Heyman finally signed a new deal with the WWE earlier this month and he is rumored to have a creative control in what he is going to do on television. One of the possible storylines he will have is having a new "Paul Heyman Guy" while Brock Lesnar goes on hiatus after SummerSlam.
According to Daily Wrestling News, Heyman is going to work for more dates than usual and it will lead to more storylines for him. It is noted that the WWE was planning to give The Advocate a new wrestler to manage.
However, it is unknown at the moment if that is still the plan but names popping out as possible the new "Paul Heyman Guy" include Shinsuke Nakamura and Samoa Joe. Both superstars are currently in NXT but there are several reports stating that they might get called up sooner than later.
Nakamura is one of the most charismatic wrestlers in the world at the moment and he is a special attraction like Lesnar. Heyman hyping him would help The King of Strong Style get introduced to the American fans, as well as casual wrestling fans.
On the other hand, Joe is like a destructive force like Lesnar which means it could also work. The current NXT champion has average mic skills and Heyman talking for him would do wonders for him. It could also lead to a future match between Lesnar at Joe, something that most hardcore fans dream about.
Some of the previous "Paul Heyman Guys" that became successful include Edge, Rey Mysterio and CM Punk, per Sportskeeda. Edge and Rey Mysterio was a product of Heyman during his days a creative team member of SmackDown.
Other stars such as Curtis Axel, Ryback and Cesaro were also "Paul Heyman Guys" on television but they did not reach the popularity of CM Punk. Nevertheless, Heyman is one of the best talkers in the business and fans can easily invest to what he is saying.
