The latest details and spoilers for "Jessica Jones" season 2 will feature three Marvel villains added to the show and the plot will focus on Jessica's friendship with Trish Walker.
It seems that the plot of "Jessica Jones" season 2 will likely focus on the friendship between Jessica (Krysten Ritter) and her best friend Patricia "Trish" Walker (Rachel Taylor). It was during season 1 that there friendship has been tested as the relationship between Trish and Jessica is rather complicated one; Jessica was taken in by Trish’s mother, the pair became as close as sisters, but drifted apart due to Jessica’s stubbornness and Trish’s determination to become a radio personality.
Executiv Producer Melissa Rosenberg teased that their friendship will be tested once again as she told Entertainment Weekly that she she is looking forward ti deepining their bond even more. Rosenberg stated that Jessica and Trish's bond is one of the core factors within the show, as audiences will see how this bond grows from friends to being close as sisters or even more. It does not matter whether its romantic, family, friends or professionals, Jessica's rellationship with the people that she met and stayed is what makes season 2 more intereting to see.
Rosenberg will also explore the dynamics between Trish and Jessica as she felt that Trish feels that she is an equal to her friend, but there are differences that both believed they want with Trish having the fame, attentiona and recognition, but without powers, while Jessica has powers, but is not interested in what Trish has and wants to feel as normal as possible without being persecuted or discriminated.
In other news, Rosenberg teased that "Jessica Jones" season 2 will have multiple Marvel villains in the story.
With Kilgrave (David Tennant) already dead in season 1, every comic book wants to know who will antagonize Jessica Jones in the show. Rosenberg added that no mone will likely top Tennant's performance as Kilgrave in the show, but the showrunners will find a way to make the villain more interesting and challenging.
However, three Marvel characters are rumored to be Jessica's latest adversary in season 2 and these are Ruby Thursday, Jigsaw and Nuke, International Business Times reported.
Ruby Thursday is primary antagonist of Hellcat in the comics, and since Trish Walker will be the center of season 2's plot, there is a chance that Jessica and Trish will cross paths with her.
Jigsaw on the other hand, is one Frank Castle/The Punisher's (Jon Bernthal) primary villains. "The Punisher" TV series being pushed on Netflix soon, Jigsaw will show up as the main antagonist in the show.
Lastly, Nuke will likely return in season 2 after Jessica fought him in the events of season 1.Formerly known as Will SImpson (Wil Traval), he gain enhanced strength and combat capabilities by taking in experimental adrenaline pills.
There is no announcement of the release date for "Jessica Jones" season 2.
