The latest details for "The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt" will feature a new patch update this month, save data not compatible with the "Game of The Year" Edition and "Gwent" spin-off beta delayed.
CD Projekt RED officially announced that "The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt" will have a "Game of The Year" Edition, which features all of the DLC expansions such as "Hearts of Stone" and "Blood and Wine", bonus items and a release date of Aug. 30 for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and the PC platforms.
Unforetunately, there is a problem with "The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt - Game of The Year" Edition as community head Marcin Momot announced in the official game forum that save files from the original game will not be compatible with the "GOTY" edition of th sequel, meaning gamers will likely start from scratch when they played the game again, Eurogamer reported.
Momot tweeted that "The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt - Game of The Year" Edition will feature a seperate Achievement list from the the original game.
Meanwhile, CD Projekt RED announced that a patch update for "The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt" will be released sometime this month. Previous reports stated that the patch update will not launch by Aug. 23, so gaming fans will expect the patch to release near the launch date of the "Game of The Year" Edition soon.
For now, CD Projekt RED did not reveal any specific features or in-game fixes for the upcoming August patch notes of the game as the developers will announce it very soon.
Lastly, the "Gwent" spin-off game will not likely enter beta sometime as CD Projekt RED announced that the beta development will not begin until the month of October.
The "Gwent" spin-off game made its debut on the Electronic Entertainment Expo 2016 event and CD Projekt RED were quick to make an apology for the gaming fans regarding the delay.
The good news, however, is that gaming fans will expect the "Gwent" spin-off on Oct. 25 as the developers are well known for delivering quality content, however, and the extra wait will almost certainly be justified.
"Gwent" will apparently look considerably different than the version gamers seen in "The Witcher" series. In order to make the decks less one-sided than Geralt’s end game deck, there will likely be some sort of mechanics put in play to ensure balance.
Cross-play will also reportedly be available, and the game will feature redesigned visuals. A single-player mode will feature alongside the game’s strong multiplayer experience.
"The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt" is currently available for the PS4, Xbox One and PC platforms.
