Niantic has finally lifted and slammed the ban hammer on the thousands of unfortunate Pokémon GO hacks, cheats and bots users as more are reporting receiving an email from the company.
In the past, some email posts regarding banned users were just fake screenshots. Now, there are more users reporting getting the same email on their inboxes after several weeks of botting or using fake GPS apps.
Users have been scrambling to see if there is a workaround or an expiration for the permanent ban. No user has reported yet that their account has been restored after getting the "Failed to retrieve game data from server" login error.
Pokémon GO players who used bots, GPS spoofing apps and other third-party apps may have been banned by Niantic as the email suggests, VG247 has learned. The email even starts with a stern note saying that the user's "account has been terminated."
There are some users on several Discord chat rooms claiming that their accounts have been restored after they have banned the appeal. This is even after they have really used all or most of the Pokémon GO hacks and bots sniping Pokémon all over the world.
Fortunately, there are still some bots that can be used for new accounts and one user even reported that there is a method to level up to 40 without getting banned. However, users are advised to wait for a few days so that the hackers can figure out how Niantic bans Pokémon GO hacks and cheats users.
Those who want to know if they have been permanently banned or not can do so by trying to login. Niantic's email and the "failed to retrieve game data" login error pretty much confirms that the account could is indeed terminated, Heavy reported.
Necrobot (forked) 0.9 can still work for users who want to level up their Pokémon GO account up to level 40. One user even recommended to use a fresh Pokémon Trainer Club account and to not open the game on the phone until their desired level has been reached on the bot.
Pokémon GO hacks and cheats can indeed get a player banned but safe configurations can still work for bot users. Sniping and GPS spoofing too fast are not recommended to avoid being flagged by Niantic as a cheater.
