While BlizzCon is just around the corner, "Diablo" is one of the few games that raised speculations of it announcing its fourth instalment. However, Blizzard has never confirmed it but rather game developers indicated a greater interest in planning a remake for "Diablo 2."

According to Movie News Guide, the game developer recently posted a requirement for few employees asking to fill various positions for an "unannounced project," which could be tied to an upcoming "Diablo" project. Some of the spots posted in Blizzard's Careers page are the position for a new animator, senior animator, senior concept artist, senior character artist, and senior VFX artist.

The number of positions sought for by Blizzard started circulating rumors of it being a great gesture for the inclusion of another "Diablo" franchise, following the well-acclaimed "Diablo 3." However, what could more probable for the future of "Diablo" is a plan for a "Diablo 2" remake rather than a sequel to the franchise.

Furthermore, the game developer's move can be a tactic to refresh the memories of the games about "Diablo 2." The planned remake will surely come with some new additions that will compromise with fans not minding if "Diablo 4" is put on hold for the time being.

Meanwhile, it has been reported in the past why game developers doubted an expansion for the current title, "Diablo 3." According to reports, many of the"Diablo 3" staff have left the game. Leonard Boyarsky, lead world designer has taken another direction with "Obsidian," while John Yang and Don Vu have been transferred to "World of Warcraft: Legion."

Jay Wilson, game director of "Diablo 3" team, even took it to his official twitter account to announce to his followers his resignation for the job in order to pursue his true passion, wherein he stated "Sad to say that after 10 of the best years of my life this will be my last week at Blizzard, and in the games industry." He added, "It's what I was doing when I fell into this job, and I've always wanted to return to it."

Until now, Blizzard has not aired any comments whether the team are working on "Diablo 4" sequel, or on a remake of "Diablo 2."
