Scoop that first Pikachu

For gamers new in the game and wanting to get Pikachu as trainer, catching him is rather easy. The trick is to ignore the four sets of Pokémon that will appear on the screen and come the next batch of spawns; players' patience will surely be rewarded.

Pikachu will pop up with Charmander, Squirtle and Bulbasaur and players all have to do is to pick up the yellow Mon.

Get the preferred evolution

In order to evolve Eevee into a specific Pokémon, one will only need to rename using specific labelling. Rainer rename will morph Eevee into Vaporeon, Pyro into Flareon and Sparky will transform to Jolteon. Players are advised that the hack is one-off so best to pick the best evolution path before firing up the process.

Evolve and level up fast

The sure and best way to level up in the game and collect experience points is to evolve. When doing the task, it's best to combine with the use of Lucky Eggs and Incense. The immediate benefit: Players will find their experience points multiplied by two.

Use Stardust wisely

Stardust is used to power Pokémon into higher CP and HP levels but as the item is earned and therefore limited, its optimal use is achieved when the progress is already on level 12 or 15. "Pokémon that you find at low Trainer levels in Pokémon are often left behind as your Trainer level increases, so spending Stardust on them is a waste of time and resources," Business Insider said.

Win Gym battles using FDAR

During Gym battles, one Redditor observed that a pattern seems to give advantage to the attacker and developed a tactic that in most cases will win the fight. The pattern simply involves waiting for the Yellow Flash, signaling a foe will launch into attack, then Dodge or swiping on the screen left and right to avoid being hit.

The next move is Attack or tapping on the opponent Pokémon, and then Repeat to complete the maneuver knows as FDAR. The clip below showcases how effective FDAR is:
