Meanwhile, Niantic Labs said in a blog post that they are now issuing permanent bans to gamers whose accounts show signs of cheating.

The developer further said that they have begun taking action against gamers taking unfair advantage of and abusing the game after reviewing several reports of in-game cheating.

The notice from the company comes one week after developers of Pokemon Go bots started saying that they had got cease-and-desist letters from the studio.

The company said that their priority with the game is to provide a legitimate, fair and fun game experience for gamers. If their system has determined that a player has cheated, then they will get an email saying that their account has been closed.
