Ahead of the SBS drama "Doctors" finale week, cast member Kim Rae Won has shared his thoughts on the romantic lines that his character said in the series. He also revealed how his fight scene with Park Shin Hye has left a mark on his body.
The romantic medical drama "Doctors" is set to close its final chapter with its remaining episodes set to air in the week of Aug. 22. Fans have seen Kim and Park's chemistry, as well as the challenges that their respective characters faced in the drama. Avid viewers also witnessed some of the cheesy lines that Kim's character Hong Ji Hong said in the series.
In a candid interview with Woman Sense magazine, the Korean actor confessed that he was very worried about his character's cheesy dialogues, Soompi reported. Prior to filming, he admitted that he felt "burdened" with having to say such lines. However, he shared that he was able to deliver it with ease when the camera started rolling.
Kim commented that he found the said dialogues "good" given the romantic element that it added to his and Park's scenes. He even made mention of the fun filming times that he had with his co-star. The actor also recounted a fight scene that he had with the "Pinocchio" actress in the early part of the SBS drama.
The Korean actor shared that his fight scene with Park left a bruise on his left thigh, as well as his posterior. Despite the small injury, Kim stated that it helped him to be less tense on set. He also applauded his co-star's fighting moves and even joked that he "should film an action movie" with Park in the future.
Meanwhile, the "Punch" star also spoke about a prop that was used for a kiss scene he shared with the Korean actress. In a previous High Cut magazine interview, Kim commented that he was initially puzzled over the claw machine prop placed inside his character's apartment, allkpop reported.
Avid fans may recall that Kim and Park's characters shared an intense kiss scene atop the said claw machine. The actor joked that after filming the kiss scene, he considered the claw machine as an appropriate place for the said romantic moment.
"Doctors" will air two back-to-back episodes on Monday, Aug. 22 and its final episode on Tuesday, Aug. 23.
