According to recent reports, some server-side changes have been made by Niantic Labs that have changed the movesets that several gamers were familiar with.

Hitmonlee - Stomp to Brick Break
Grimer - Acid to Poison Jab
Gengar - Sludge Wave to Sludge Bomb
Chansey - Psybeam to Hyper Beam

Quick attacks that were changed

Staryu - Quick Attack to Tackle
Starmie-  Quick Attack to Tackle
Porygon - Quick Attack to Zen Headbutt

Mud Shots that were changed to Mud Slap - Graveler, Golem, Dugtrio, Diglett

The removed or new movesets will not change the Pokemon players have. However, they will alter the creature players get in the future. Also, eggs that players got before the patch will have pre-patch moves when they hatch.

After the change, Gyarados is not a powerful Dragonite counter, according to a Reddit user.

The sudden influx of rare and uncommon spawns in all areas is the greatest change to the game. Suburban as well as rural areas are the most impacted by the change.
