"Arrow" season 5 will continue to feature Laurel Lance (Katie Cassidy) not only in a series of flashbacks.
Just recently, The CW dropped a new teaser for the upcoming installment which confirmed that Laurel will have a statue in Star City.
In the clip, Stephen Amell's Oliver Queen could be seen looking at Laurel's statue with a contemplative look on his face.
Laurel was killed off in season 4 after she was stabbed by the villainous character Damien Darhk (Neal McDonough). At that time, Oliver and the members of Team Arrow were all devastated to learn that Laurel has died.
However, it was also previously confirmed that Laurel's demise will be a good thing for Cassidy because she will now be part of all of the DC superhero shows on The CW. This includes "The Flash," "Supergirl" and "Legends of Tomorrow."
On "Arrow," Laurel will be featured in a series of flashbacks. The same thing will happen in "The Flash" because the series will focus on the Flashpoint storyline that will see Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) returning back in time.
Meanwhile, the teaser also confirmed that Oliver will get into tons of trouble in season 5. Even though the lead character will be recruiting new team members to join Team Arrow, the clip also confirmed that Thea (Willa Holland) and Diggle (David Ramsey) will still be helping Oliver with his missions.
In other news, "Arrow" season 5 will introduce several new characters that will either be a friend or a foe to Oliver. Dolph Lundgren was recently cast to play the role of season five's big bad in the flashbacks that will take place in Russia. He will be joined by Carly Pope who will play the role of a reporter who is interested in finding more information about Oliver.
Josh Segarra has also been cast to play the role of Wild Dog, while Tyler Ritter will give life to the character of Detective Malone. Joe Dinicol will play the role of Rory Regan aka Ragman and Cody Rhodes will guest star as Oliver's enemy.
"Arrow" season 5 will premiere on The CW on Oct. 9.
