Amber Rose and Ryan Lochte are just two of the contestants that have been confirmed to join "Dancing With the Stars" season 23.
According to US Weekly, the 32-year-old model and mom has signed on to compete for the coveted mirror ball trophy starting next month.
TV Line also reported that Olympic swimmer Lochte has also agreed to compete in the hit ABC reality TV show. In fact, the publication confirmed that Lochte teammates were also in talks to compete in "Dancing With the Stars" season 23 even before the athlete participated in the recent Olympics.
Lochte's casting came as a surprise to fans because the athlete was recently dropped by four major sponsors after he lied about being a victim of an incident where men allegedly dressed as Brazilian police officials pointed a gun at him and three of teammates and then demanded money from them.
As of late, fans have mixed reactions over Lochte's possible casting. Some fans believe that he will be the first one to be sent home. Other fans are also questioning the producers' decision to cast Lochte especially since he didn't represent his country well.
"Exactly! He's being rewarded for bad behavior. Only in America!" one fan wrote.
Meanwhile, the official announcement for season 23's line up will take place on "Good Morning America" on Aug. 30. As of late, there are some rumors that the producers of "Dancing With the Stars" are also eyeing Simone Biles.
During a recent interview, Biles said that she would be more than willing to join "Dancing With the Stars" as long as her schedule can accommodate it. "I think 'Dancing With the Stars' would be so cool! I can't dance, but that's what it's for. I don't know - we'll be so busy, we have tour, and if that happens, and I can do it, that would be amazing."
An insider also said, "They would love to cast Olympians if possible."
"Dancing With the Stars" season 23 will premiere on ABC next month.
