Microsoft Surface Pro 5: Microsoft to create a more powerful device, Surface Pro 4 receives $405 discount

Microsoft Surface Pro 4 has received a huge discount.

eBay is selling Microsoft Surface Pro 4 (8GB RAM, 256GB SSD, 6th Gen Intel Core i5) for $895. The original cost of the Surface tablet is 1,299. Also, the device comes with Surface Pen. The Microsoft tablet runs all the desktop software users rely on. It is lighter beginning at 1.69 pounds.

Specifications of Microsoft Surface Pro 4 include Windows 10 Pro, USB 3.0, Mini DisplayPort, microSD Slot, 802.11ac Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, 256GB SSD, Intel HD Graphics 520, 2736 x 1824 Screen Resolution (267 ppi), 8GB of RAM and Intel Core i5 6th Gen (Skylake), according to a Digital Trends report.

The software company Microsoft has not given an statement about the launch of Surface Pro 5 yet. However, many reports suggest that the Microsoft tablet will be launched next year.

But according to some reports, the device will be unveiled this year. It is more possible that to create a more powerful device, Microsoft has to push the launch date to next year.

Specifications of the upcoming tablet will include Surface Pen integration, USB C support, 4K and 2K display variants and 16 GB RAM.

According to several reports, the Microsoft Surface Pro 5 will run Windows Redstone 2 that is expected to launch in Spring next year. Speculations are doing the rounds that the device will house Kaby Lake processor.

The processor has not been released yet. It was earlier rumored that kaby Lake should be launched by the end of 2016. The software company may need to wait for Intel's release before they release the new Surface tablet.

The base model of the upcoming tablet, the non 4K UHD variant, will likely begin from $899. It is expected that the top-end 4K UHD variant will be priced at $1,599.

Rumors are also doing the rounds that the Surface Book 2 will be launched in Spring 2017. It is believed that the device will equip the 7th generation Kaby Lake processor and will support 3D and 4K and VR displays.

Furthermore, the Microsoft Surface Book 2 will have 16GB of RAM with 1TB of internal storage capacity. According to various reports, the device will also support ThunderBolt 3 ports and USB Type-C port connectors.
