''Kickboxer: Retaliation'' is an upcoming movie which will cast Jean-Claude Van Damme as Master Durand. ''Kickboxer'' franchise is known to create magic in the box office, and the third instalment is expected to pull a lot of crowd too.
According to Yahoo, the cast of this movie is finalised and Van Damme is returning to play the role of Durand in the third instalment of this American martial arts film. He is playing the same role in ''Kickboxer: Vengeance'' which will be released on Sep. 2, 2016 in the US. It was initially released during the Fantasia Film Festival on July 14, 2016 and will open commercially now. Van Damme had played the lead role of Kurt Sloane, the kickboxing icon in the original movie ''Kickboxer'' which was released on Sep. 8, 1989.
''Kickboxer: Retaliation'' will take off from where ''Kickboxer: Vengeance'' will end the storyline. The review of the movie ''Kickboxer: Vengeance'' is quite positive as it has given importance to the real martial arts instead of computer graphics, Variety reported. Even though Van Damme is returning as the elder trainer of the protagonist Kurt Sloane (played by Alain Moussi) after almost twenty five years, the fans of the hero are delighted.
The lovers of martial arts will marvel the aerial shots which were shot in New Orleans, however, clearly depict parts of rural Thailand. The sets look extremely original and the surroundings of Southeast Asia come alive on the sets. The storyline revolves around the tale of vengeance and the fighting scenes will leave the viewers spell bound.
''Kickboxer: Retaliation'' will be a sequel to an unreleased movie ''Kickboxer: Vengeance.'' The original ''Kickboxer'' franchise did very well in the box-office and Kings Road Entertainment who had produced the movie had made a huge profit. The movie made more than $14 million USD in the box office against a budget of $2.7 million USD.
Since the storyline of ''Kickboxer: Vengeance'' revolves around the killing of "global karate champion" older brother Eric Sloane (played by Darren Shahlavi) when he accepts the challenge of a "no rules" bout in Bangkok, and gets killed by the giant Muay Thai fighter Tong Po (played by Dave Batista), the viewers can expect the sequel to follow the same storyline. Since such kinds of street fights are common in these locales and huge gambling bets are put on them, such outcomes are common too.
Later the younger brother Kurt Sloane takes training from Master Durand, and decides to take on Po. Watch the snippets of this upcoming movie ''Kickboxer: Vengeance'' before you go to cinemas to watch it.
