Details surrounding the finish of the Fatal 4-Way Elimination Match in the main event of Monday Night Raw have been revealed. According to the latest rumors, only a handful of people knew about the planned finish to generate buzz in the locker room and the mainstream media.

Kevin Owens shocked the world when he became the WWE Universal Champion on Monday after getting some help from the returning Triple H. Raw commissioner Stephanie McMahon, general manager Mick Foley and Owens were all shocked by Triple H leading some people to question if it was really the planned finish.

According to latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter (subscription required), Owens, Stephanie and Foley all did a great job of selling The Game's return. It is noted that only a handful of people knew about the finish including the four people mentioned above, as well as Seth Rollins, who took the pinfall.

The WWE has been on fire regarding the angles they have done since SummerSlam as their fans question the legitimacy of it. First, it was Brock Lesnar busting open Randy Orton the hard way leading to a knockout win for The Beast.

The second one happened last week when The Miz cut the promo of his career against Daniel Bryan. Fans went crazy after watching The Miz blast Bryan for calling him a "coward" in the ring. Reports have surfaced that it was part shoot and it led to some even thinking Bryan will return for one more match.

However, the segment was only made to elevate The Miz in his next feud against Dolph Ziggler. Finally, the finish for the WWE Universal title match where Triple H helped Owens win. According to Ringside News, the company is going to do a lot more of realism storylines.

The report noted that the WWE wants to create a buzz in their product and not just from their diehard fans but even casual watchers. The finish to the Lesnar-Orton match and The Miz-Bryan segment were trending online and were covered by the mainstream media.

The WWE has been trying to increase their ratings and doing more realism storylines could be the answer. Nonetheless, there will still be a lot of people that are going to watch the product as long as a great story is being presented.
