Former “Baywatch” star and Playboy Magazine centerfold Pamela Anderson just urged men to give up pornography.
In an opinion piece titled “Take the Pledge: No More Indulging Porn,” Anderson urged readers of Wall Street Journal to understand that besides being for losers, watching porn is “a wasteful and dead-end outlet for people too lazy to reap the ample rewards of health sexuality.”
Together with co-author, celebrity rabbi Shmuley Boteach, the two said porn is a “public hazard of unprecedented seriousness” repeatedly. She even cited the case of disgraced Congressman Anthony Weiner who sent images of his crotch to a brunette, reported E! Online.
It was the final straw for Weiner’s wife, Hillary Rodham Clinton’s supporter Huma Abedin, who announced she would be separating from Weiner who previously sent via text a photo of his penis, resulting in his being expelled from the House of Representatives.
The two stressed, “From our respective positions of rabbi-counselor and former Playboy model and actress, we have often warned about pornography's corrosive effects on a man's soul and on his ability to function as husband and, by extension, as father. This is a public hazard of unprecedented seriousness.” Boteach and Anderson contend that men who watch porn could have less satisfactory intimate lives with their wives or girlfriends after consuming porn.
Anderson has a total of 15 Playboy Magazine appearances, the first in 1989 when she was 22 and the last for the January/February 2016 double issue of the iconic magazine as the final nude cover girl of Playboy. She and former husband Tommy Lee has a sex tape which was stolen and spread. Bob Guccione, owner of porn magazine Penthouse, offered to buy the rights to the sex tape, but the former couple rejected his offer.
