Andy Murray will attempt to right his ship at the US Open when he meets Grigor Dimitrov in the fourth round of the tournament on Monday at the Arthur Ashe Stadium.

After easing through the first two rounds of the 2016 US Open, Murray got a wakeup call after escaping with a victory in his third round match against Italy's Paolo Lorenzi. The world No. 2, who defeated Lorenzi 7-6 (4), 5-7, 6-2, 6-3 in a match that lasted three hours and 17 minutes, was happy with his victory, although Murray admitted it took him longer before completely dismissing the 34-year-old Italian.

"It took me a little bit longer than I would have liked to sort of work things out," Murray said, reports ESPN. "But I worked it out, won, got through, and I didn't play good. So I'm happy with that."

Murray next faces Dimitrov, who advanced into Round of 16 after a four-setter victory over Brazil's Joao Sousa 6-4 6-1 3-6 6-2.

Murray leads Dimitrov by 6-3 in their FedEx ATP Head2Head career singles matchup, but the 25-year-old Bulgarian got the better of the Scot in their most recent meeting at the ATP World Tour Masters 1000 in Miami.

Murray, a three-time Grand Slam winner, admitted it would be a tough match facing Dimitrov, who is coming off a semifinals finish at the Cincinnati Masters, but the Scot vows he would be ready in his 10th career match against Dimitrov.

"He's a very good player," Murray said. "He does a lot of things well on the court. He has good feel, moves well. He's obviously not played his best the last 18 months or so, but definitely the last few weeks has been playing very well, getting back to a level that he's capable of playing at."

The winner between Murray and Dimitrov could have a quarterfinal matchup against either Kei Nishikori or Ivo Karlovic. Nishikori defeated Nicolas Mahut of France 4-6 6-1 6-2 6-2, while Karlovic won over American Jared Donaldson in straight sets 6-4 7-6(3) 6-3.
