Amazon France has placed a placeholder page for the much-anticipated book "Winds of Winter" on its website. The page suggests that the book will be releasing on March 9, 2017.
Amazon posted on its French website that the book "Winds of Winter" is currently unavailable but it will be selling the book from March 9, 2017. This led to speculations that the book is finally releasing in the first quarter of 2017, just before the TV premiere of "Game of Thrones" Season 7.
Author George R. R. Martin has been facing the brunt for delaying the book for so long. To appease the fans, he has released numerous sample chapters of the book on his website George R R Martin. This led to further speculations that the book is finally nearing completion and will release soon.
The first book in the "A Song of Ice and Fire" series "A Game of Thrones" was released in 1996. It was followed by the second book, which was titled as "A Clash of Kings" in 1998. "A Storm of Swords" also followed the timely deadline of two years and released in 2000.
The delays started from the fourth book "A Feast for Crows" onwards. It took five years to write and was finally released in 2005. The fifth book "A Dance with Dragons" continued the trend and released after six years in 2011.
If the rumors of March 9, 2017 are true then the sixth book "Winds of Winter" will also release after six years. The last book in this series is "A Dream of Spring" and its release date is unknown.
"Winds of Winter" spoilers indicate that there is going to be a love triangle between Arya Stark, Tyrion Lannister and Jon Snow. Snow's true parentage will also be finally revealed in the book.
Mother of Dragons is also speculated to succumb to her mad genes in "Winds of Winter." She will burn Westeros to the ground and show to the world and she has the crazy genes of her father "The Mad King."
