Speculations are rife that the much-delayed book "Winds of Winter" may release in the coming months. There are also rumors that the seventh book in the series "A Dream of Spring" may also be released alongside "Winds of Winter."
Rumors abound that the reason why author George R. R. Martin is not able to release "Winds of Winter" is because he is writing the book simultaneously, with the next installment of the series "A Dream of Spring." Another reason attributed to the delay in finishing and releasing "Winds of Winter" is that it is the longest book in the series, hence, it is taking an inordinately long time to finish, according to Newsweek.
It was expected that "Winds of Winter" would release at Mid AmeriCon II, which is a fantasy and science fiction convention. Martin made an appearance at the event but did not release the book. The latest rumor is that "Winds of Winter" may now release by the end of 2016.
Meanwhile, "Winds of Winter" spoilers indicate that Daenerys may become mad in the book. She already has some mad genes from her father the Mad King and they may come to the surface in this book. There are also rumors that she may burn the city of Westeros to the ground.
"Winds of Winter" is also likely to indicate the true parents of Jon Snow. In an interview with The Verge, "Game of Thrones" theorist BrydenBFish says that book will confirm that Lyanna Stark and Rhaegar Targaryen were the parents of Snow. The parentage has already been confirmed in the TV adaptation of the show.
In other related news, "Game of Thrones" Season 7 premiere is likely to be delayed. The reason for the delay is that in the script, winter has arrived but the locations where the show is being shot is still under the influence of the summer season. So, the production team needs to wait out for a few months till the actual winter arrives at the shooting locales for them to shoot "Game of Thrones" Season 7.
