The accident happened as soon as the singer started her performance. From the preliminary reports, it appears that the legendary singer was pulled backward. The singer fell down a flight of stairs and fell heavily on her back.

Madonna had returned to BRIT awards after a span of 20 years. Her performance was one of the most anticipated events of the evening as the audience even overshadowing the international artists like Kanye West and Taylor Swift.
The singer also reassured her fans amid the performance that she is fine. "Armani hooked me up! My beautiful cape was tied too tight," said the iconic singer. " But nothing can stop me and love really lifted me up! Thanks for your good wishes! I'm fine! #livingforlove."
