Apple has finally unveiled the highly-awaited iPhone 7, and its' already expected to crush each and every one of its competition. We've rounded up some of the exciting things about the new Apple iPhone 7 as well as the release dates and pre-order information for major US mobile carriers.
Apple iPhone 7 waterproof
You read that right. After a long wait, Apple has finally created the first waterproof iPhone to equal the flagship Galaxy smartphones of its rival company Samsung, to name a few. The water-resistant iPhone has an IPX67 rating, which means its hardware can withstand being submerged in up to 1 meter of water for 30 minutes, The Telegraph reported.
Apple iPhone 7 camera
The iPhone 7 camera is one of the game-changing features of the new device. The iPhone 7 Plus, in particular, boasts two lenses: 28-mm., 12-megapixel lens and a 56-mm., 12-megapixel telephoto lens. Overall, it packs the following features: improved aperture, longer exposures and the .DNG file format, which is essentially a photo file that captures all possible visual information to allow for further photo manipulation and post-processing.
The camera in the iPhone 7 is 60 percent faster than the image processing in the iPhone 6.
Apple iPhone 7 colors
Every release, Apple launches a new color for the iPhone. Last year, rose gold became all the rage and became the standard identifier for the iPhone 6S line. Apple upped the ante this year by introducing the jet black iPhone, which comes in matte or glossy. The high-gloss version, however, is only available in the larger storage options of 128GB and 256GB.
Apple iPhone 7 32GB storage option
Hearing Apple announce the 32GB storage option for the iPhone 7 was a prayer answered for many Apple loyalists. While the 64GB and above options proved to be more expensive and impractical to some iPhone users, the 16GB was almost rendered useless because it couldn't provide enough storage space needed to optimize the iPhone.
Apple iPhone 7 on AT&T, Verizon, Sprint and T-Mobile
According to CNET, the iPhone 7 price starts at $649 while the iPhone 7 Plus starts at $769. Every increase in storage capacity means an additional $100 to the original price. Preorder for the iPhone 7 begins on Sept. 9 via the Apple Store.
Verizon's iPhone 7 offer is pretty straightforward. The standard retail price of the iPhone is payable within 24 months. AT&T, T-Mobile and Sprint, however, offer a more complex and detailed payment scheme for each model.
Furthermore, AT&T also offers the AT&T Next and AT&T Next Every Year schemes. Under AT&T Next, subscribers can pay the phone in the course of 30 months, and once 80 percent of the total price has been paid, subscribers have the option to trade in their phones for an upgrade.
