Apple has shocked the world when it announced the iPhone 7 specs with no headphone jack but some fans are still happy to learn that it could be the fastest iOS device ever in history.
Every year, smartphones get faster with larger capacities in terms of RAM and internal storage. Now, the new iPhone 7 carries 3GB RAM which is the first of its kind for iOS devices.
Android smartphones have already begun rolling out in 2GB, 3GB and even 4GB RAM variants several years ago. Apple might be late to the party but it does not mean that their sheeple followers will still not bite their new shiny iPhone 7.
Another interesting iPhone 7 feature is the dual camera setup for the rear end of the iOS device, MacWorld has learned. The feature has been widely rumored even before the reveal and it turned out to be true.
Apple has also upgraded the smartphone's hardware in terms of the processor and RAM. The Cupertino-based tech giant used their new A10 Fusion chip that is faster and more efficient than their previous offerings. They have also upped the RAM capacity to an all-time high across all of their iOS devices which includes the iPad Pro.
One GeekBench test result showed an "iPhone 9,4" which is speculated to be the new iPhone 7 and it was showed that the device has 3GB RAM and is actually the fastest iOS device in history, Apple Insider reported. The single-core test benchmark result showed a score of 3233 compared to the iPhone 6s Plus's 2508.
In the GeekBench test, the multi-core performance result was 5363 whish is more than a thousand points better than the predecessor's 4106 score. Out of all the iOS devices, it was found that the new device in the data base is the fastest in all of the GeekBench tests.
There is no confirmation yet that the results are indeed from an iPhone 7 but there are no other devices yet that could take the spot. Apple's new A10 chip and 3GB RAM on their new flagship smartphone will certainly make it run faster than its predecessors.
