Pokemon Go Buddy Update: Dratini needs to walk 5km to earn Candy; Ditto 3km, Eevee 5km, What about other Pokemon?

Given below is the distance needed for Pokemon that players are walking as buddies.

The official numbers have not been released by Niantic Labs on how far players will require to walk their Pokemon to get candy.

According to some players, it seems that the buddy distances are correlated to egg hatching distances. A creature that hatches from a 2 kilometer egg will need 1 kilometer of walking to get a candy, a 5k egg Pokemon needs 3k walking and 10k egg Pokemon needs 5k walking.

Also, there may be some creatures who need 10 kilometers of walking; however, this has not been confirmed yet. According to reports, the distances will be reserved for legendary creatures.

Meanwhile, in addition to the bug fixes, the Buddy feature and the Pokemon Go Plus support that the newest update introduces, there is a new security measure in place.

Niantic Labs said that they continue to concentrate on removing bots and scrapers from the game. Jailbroken or rooted devices are not supported by the game. 

The feature detects whether a phone is rooted or not and blocks out players if it is, XDA Developers reported.

It is important to note that Pokemon Go should be downloaded from the iTunes App Store or Google Play Store only, according to Pokemon Go developers.
