Mention “Descendants of the Sun” actor Song Joong-ki and inevitably the name of his bromance partner Park Bo Gum also crops up, such as the recent list of 9 Sexy Korean Actors.
With the yearly mass migration in South Korea for the Chuseok holiday having started on Tuesday, students were asked in a survey which Korean celebrities they want to spend this local holiday, considered the equivalent of the Thanksgiving holiday in the U.S., according to Yonhap News.
AllKpop reported that Seoul Art College, found in the Gangnam District, surveyed 722 students from various departments to find which Hallyu star they want to be with during the Chuseok holiday. Students from the college’s Acting, Modeling, Cosmetology, Fashion, Dance, Film, Production, Design and Applied Music participated.
Results showed that Park Bo Gum topped the survey, getting 161 female students out of 451 students who selected the “Moonlight Drawn by Clouds” actor who also topped the same survey in 2015. Among 271 male students surveyed, 84 picked Kim Yoo Jung, also a cast of “Moonlight.”
Among female stars, the one who got the highest vote was Seolhyun (45), followed by IU (43), Song Hye Kyo (37) and Kim So Hyun (23). For male stars, in second place was Park Hae Jin (88), while in fourth was Lee Jun Ki (67), followed by Song Joong-ki (54) and Yoo Seung Ho (41).
Chuseok is South Korea’s longest holiday, along with Seol or Lunar New Year’s Day. The Korea Expressway Corp. said about 230,000 cars left Seoul as of 2 p.m., and by midnight, another 270,000 vehicles are expected to be added.
