The first promo of "The Vampire Diaries" Season 8, which is the final season, contain all of the main ingredients of the show. Further, from the looks of the promo, it seems that the final season of the series is going to have all the aspects that had made the series a hit so far.
According to reports from Entertainment Weekly, the eighth and the final season of "The Vampire Diaries" contains bloodshed, mystery, brother issues, romance, as well as death to level up the excitement among the fans. The season completely goes along with the expectations of the fans and they are eagerly waiting to see their favorite characters such as Damon, Enzo, Stefan, Caroline as well as the new nanny in the town- Seline (played by Kristen Gutoskie).
Damon is shown as a bloodthirsty vampire in the Season 8 promo of "The Vampire Diaries." Not only this, but it also shows that Damon is very much under the impact of the evil creature from the vault, who is controlling him as well as Enzo. Further, Damon can be seen continuing on a killer ride and Stefan trying his best to save him, but Damon tells his younger brother that "Once the devil comes from a calling, you're done." Also, Stefan is shown to share a kiss with Caroline.
Moreover, according to Zap2it, it must be noted that Seline might not have a very good ending in the finale season of "The Vampire Diaries." Further, the promo shows a quick shot of a secretive arm catching Seline's throat to slash it with a knife, which implies that Damon might murder Seline. If it happens then it would really become shocking for fans of Alaric as they hoped that Seline would be the new love interest in his life. So, the season 8 promo does not indicate well for Alaric's life.
And, regarding the mystery of the vault, it looks like that the unknown villain is feasting on the dead bodies as the corpses have turned into skeletons and limbs. Watch out "The Vampire Diaries" Season 8 that premieres this October on The CW.
