watchOS 3
Apple's watchOS 3 brings a great spec of speed improvements and battery life enhancements to the Apple Watch. A user's favorite app will launch instantly, apps will be stored in memory, and background updates will pre-cache data on the new OS.
Apple is also planning to release a series of new customizable watch faces in watchOS 3, including a new Minnie Mouse option and a fitness-focused one that presents activity rings in a large size. watchOS 3 also makes it easier to switch between watch faces with a swipe, The Verge reported.
tvOS 10
Apple's revision to tvOS brings enhancements to the iPhone remote app, as well as a unified credentialing activity for entering cable subscription data once, and it gets propagated to all the compatible apps at the same time.
tvOS can be downloaded directly from the Apple TV, and is only compatible with the fourth generation Apple TV.
The range of iOS 10.0.1 IPSW files is between 2.17 GB for the iPod Touch, to 2.64 GB for the iPhone 5s. "Over the air" updates are about 1.1GB whereas the tvOS download is 1.33 GB.
Server load is heavy, and previous releases of Apple's OS suites have been agonized with slow downloads for the first few hours.
Apple's watchOS 3 software update is available free for all first-generation Apple Watches, and it ships with the Apple Watch Series 2 on Friday.
Third-party app developers are beginning to release their new apps today, and NBA, Runkeeper, ESPN, MLS, and Runtastic will all have updated applications that support the new features found in watchOS 3.
