Directed by Brillante Mendoza, "Ma' Rosa" is the official entry of the Philippines to the 89th Academy Awards, which will be held at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, Los Angeles, on Feb. 26, 2017. The film's title role is played by Jaclyn Jose, who won Best Actress at the 2016 Cannes Film Festival.
