Dakota Fanning graced the red carpets of the Toronto International Film Festival 2016 for the premiere of "Brimstone." She appeared stunning in a black velvet dress during the star-studded festival on Sept. 12, Monday.
The elder sister of Elle Fanning oozed charm and glamor with her black velvet material, which boasted a plunging neckline along with a silver flower brooch on her shoulder and at her waist, according to Mail Online. A patterned and colorful design is featured at the back of her dress with silver button lines. She tied her blonde hair in high ponytail and walked on silver heels during the TIFF 2016 event.
Dakota stars with Emilia Jones, Guy Pearce and "Game of Thrones" actor Kit Harington in "Brimstone." The film tells the story of a young woman who was targeted by a preacher and goes on the run.
At a young age, the Georgia-born actress is a film industry veteran and acting is all she has ever known. She debuted as the seven-year-old daughter of Sean Penn in "I am Sam" in 2001.
Since Dakota started early, there are doubts regarding her career's success now that she is a grown-up. With nearly 15 years of experience, she has worked with Steven Spielberg and has appeared in box-office hits, including the "Twilight" films.
"There is a lot of negativity that you welcome into your life when you're an actor," Dakota told The Independent in an interview in Venice. "You bare your soul for anyone to see. That can be stressful."
Dakota added that her parents help in keeping her level-headed. While many child stars struggled to adjust to adult life, there were no stories about her linked to substance abuse, having a messy love life or going wild in some parties. She also shared she loves her acting career and was never forced by anyone to do it.
Moreover, the 22-year-old actress will star in Ewan McGregor's directorial debut, "American Pastoral" which is an adaptation of the Pulitzer Prize-winning novel of Philip Roth. She plays McGregor's daughter in the movie.
