Someone will be resurrected in "Game of Thrones" Season 6, according to the recent spoilers shared by one of the new cast members. Before starring in the Starz series adaptation of Neil aiman's novel "American Gods," Ian McShane will join the cast of the HBO series.
Details about McShane's character in the HBO series are still under wraps and the actor managed to keep mum about it. However, in his recent interview with "BBC Breakfast," McShane said "Game of Thrones" is one thing he cannot talk about but he gave some details about his character to be introduced in the new season anyway.
"I can give you one hint," McShane said. "My character is an ex-warrior who's become a peacenik."
McShane did not even stop there. He went on to say that his character will bring back "a much-loved character" that everyone thinks is dead.
Challenged by McShane to guess, "BBC Breakfast" host Naga Munchetty said he could only be referring to either Sandor Clegane (Rory McCann), also known as the Hound, or Jon Snow (Kit Harington). To this, the actor replied, "It's not the latter. It might be the former."
On the other hand, details about Jon Snow in "Game of Thrones" Season 6 are yet to be revealed. The teasers HBO have been releasing all have the character in it and Harington has also been spotted in Northern Ireland when the new season was being filmed there.
What Harington has been emphasizing in his interviews is that Jon Snow is indeed dead. He neither said that the character is irrevocably dead nor claimed that there is no possibility for the character to be revived.
Meanwhile, Harington and Carice van Houten, who plays Melisandre in "Game of Thrones," are set to co-star in the upcoming Western thriller film "Brimstone." Written and directed by Martin Koolhoven, the film also stars Dakota Fanning, Emilia Jones, Naomi Battrick, Paul Anderson, Guy Pearce and William Houston, among others.
Jon Snow is believed to be resurrected by Melisandre in the new season premieres on April 24. Watch McShane share "Game of Thrones" Season 6 spoilers here:
