Samsung Galaxy S8 which is reported for a 2017 debut will overthrow the current S7 in processing power. If the recent leak is to be trusted, Samsung's upcoming top-shelf gadget will be packaged with an Exynos 8895 processor, and the CPU is clocked at no less than 3 GHz.
Currently, most Samsung Galaxy Note 7s and Samsung Galaxy S7s come with an Exynos 8890 clocked at a mere 2.3 GHz. And in addition, the U.S. variants of these devices are loaded with Snapdragon 820 CPUs that run at 2.15 GHz, tops.
It is not yet clear whether the U.S. models will come with an Exynos or Snapdragon chip, though the rest of the markets will see the power of the Exynos 8895.
According to WCCFTech, Samsung will optimize the Exynos chip for a longer battery life and further tweaking could lead to upgrading the image processing performance by 70 or even 80 %.
If this is to be, then Samsung might be focusing more on perfecting its new camera that will join the beastly processor on the S8 flagship. It will be logical for Samsung to offer such as a solid alternative seeing how Apple put a lot of effort into its dual camera on the iPhone 7 Plus. Some leaks even hints the possibility of seeing a dual-lens camera on the Galaxy S8, TechRadar reported.
According to sources familiar with the matter, the chip ranks a score of 2,301 in single-core Geekbench testing, and the multi-core peaks at 7,019. Previous testing revealed that Galaxy S7s packaged with the Exynos chipsets ranks a multi-core score of 6,542.
The company, Samsung Electronics America, Inc. have not revealed much about the much awaited Samsung Galaxy 8, and so, readers should take these rumors with a grain of salt. No enough piece of information to back them up.
According to the Korea Herald, the Galaxy S8 confirmation could land sooner than expected as the firm might rush the launch of the flagship phone to counter the significant impact caused by calling back the highly flammable Galaxy Note 7.
In addition to Samsung Galaxy S6 flagship, Samsun will this year also bring another two Android flagship handsets, the Google Pixel XL and Pixel.
