Lee Jong Suk and Han Hyo Joo ranked their top three most memorable kiss scenes in MBC's "W - Two World." In the hit fantasy drama, the two portrayed Kang Chul and Oh Yeon Joo, respectively.
On Sept. 17, Saturday, MBC aired a special episode for "W - Two Worlds," containing some of the behind-the-scenes footage from the drama's filming set. There, Lee and Han selected their top three kiss scenes.
"I think this drama had the most kiss scenes out of all of the dramas I have done," Han commented. The "Pinocchio" actor then agreed that there were undoubtedly a ton of kiss scenes, as he bashfully smiled.
For third place, Lee and Han picked their kiss scene in the second episode of "W - Two Worlds." Han chose their heartbreaking kiss scene from the 10th episode as her second picked, while Lee believed that the handcuff kiss scene from the seventh episode was the best one.
The seventh episode of "W - Two Worlds," which aired on Aug. 10, saw Kang Chul and Oh Yeon-Joo confronting their feelings for each other with a passionate kiss. In a recent sit-down interview with Korea's High Cut magazine, as cited by Soompi, Lee spilled some beans about the much-talked-about handcuff kiss scene with Han.
"I researched a lot about what to do with the hands since the female lead's hands are in handcuffs as well as what angle to place my head," Lee revealed. "It came out just as pretty as I had expected."
Helmed by Jung Dae-Yoon, "W - Two Worlds" recently aired its finale episode on Sept. 14, Wednesday. The 16th episode recorded 10.9 percent ratings in the Seoul National Capital Area.
Right after the successful run of "W - Two Worlds," screenwriter Song Jae-Jung revealed the significance of the drama's title, The Kpop Herald reported. To start with, "W" stands for "who and "why," as they were the two key questions Kang Chul is trying to answer after his family was executed.
From Dr. Oh Yeon Joo's perspective, "W" signifies a "Wonder World," as the heroine unexpected entered the ambivalent webtoon universe, which her father (Kim Eui-Sung) created.
