Before the assumed release date for Capcom's "Resident Evil 7," details on the said installment were leaked online with images for the upcoming items, revealing the game's bonus packs. Also, the DLC, known as the "Survival Pack," hints the hardest difficulty early in its title.
According to SegmentNext, the pre-order bonus DLC was unveiled together with the main "Resident Evil 7" title by the Swedish retailer Discshop. On its "Resident Evil 7" page, the online store featured four unique item packs, namely the Handgun Set, Burner Set, Chem Fluid Set and Recovery Set, which will be available if the players will pre-order the game.
GameNGuide learned that the contents of the sets are not yet fully detailed, but some include classic "Resident Evil" items. In addition, the Handgun Set will reportedly feature ammo, while the Recovery Set will include herbs. The Chem Fluid Set will showcase a type of healing item, while the Burner Set can be used together with a rumored flamethrower weapon.
The "Survival Pack" is said to unlock the hardest difficulty early in the game. "Resident Evil 7" will follow on the peculiar events of "Resident Evil 6," particularly set in an old plantation mansion. The new protagonist, Ethan, will be included to the team, and possesses amateur skills compared to previous heroes of the franchise.
Since the first installment, "Resident Evil 7" set was featured with coins of various sizes, colors and types. There were gold, copper and bronze coins. Together with the additional items, the new installment grants players mysterious coins, some herbs, and med kit and the Handgun Set will come with bullets and a mysterious coin.
As of today, Capcom is yet to recognize and acknowledge these sets, and nothing has been confirmed.
"Resident Evil 7" DLC Survival Pack is slated for release on Jan. 24, 2017 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. Based on reports, players who preorder the Deluxe edition for $80 will get access to two additional pieces of content. The first piece showcases four short side stories, while the second piece provides an extra episode to "Resident Evil 7."
