Winless team Granada CF (0-2-2, 2 points) is set to host middling club Athletic Bilbao (2-2-0, 6 points) at their home field of Estadio Nuevo Los Cármenes this Wednesday, Sep. 21 as round 5 competitions of the 2016-2017 La Liga season continues.

Granada has yet to earn their first victory in the term after four weeks as it sandwiched a two-game losing slide in between two drawn matches. They are now settled at the 17th place in the overall standings, virtually in the same group as the bottom three teams, Osasuna, Celta Vigo, and Valencia.

El Grana actually zoomed off to a 2-0 lead as midfielder Mehdi Carcela-Gonzalez and striker Alberto Bueno netted one goal apiece at the 13th and 33rd minutes.
Real Betis trimmed the gap to one point at the 36th, though, with a header from forward Alex Alegria to make it a 2-1 count at the break.
Granada defender Ruben Vezo was then booked for a second yellow nine minutes after the restart and was sent off, giving the hosts a one-man advantage.
Béticos found the equalizer at the 61st with a second goal from Alegria and was about to go for the winner until their goalkeeper Dani Gimenez was also sent off at the 85th, making it an equal game from then on.
Meanwhile, Athletic Bilbao handed Valencia their fourth straight loss with a 2-1 nipping at the San Mamés Stadium last Sunday, Vavel reported.
Valencia midfielder Alvaro Medran opened the scoring right at the second minute of the contest, but Los Leones striker Aritz Aduriz came back with two goals of his own at the 24th and 41st to grab the lead back for head coach Ernesto Valverde's side.
The two teams went scoreless in the second half as Athletic Club came away with their second consecutive victory this season.
