Netflix is ready to offer viewers new twists for "Orange is the New Black" Season 5 with Daya's rumored extended sentence in Litchfield and Bennett's return in the show to save her.
In the previous season of "Orange is the New Black," Daya (Dascha Polanco) was caught in the mess when she pointed a gun to the Corrections Officer Thomas Humphrey (Michael Torpey).
Unfortunately, her aggressive action showing she was ready to kill the officer would cause her serious repercussions in "Orange is the New Black" Season 5. In fact, Daya is rumored to be sent to the Special Housing Unit (SHU) for additional years in her sentence. With this, fans expect that Officer Bennett will have no choice but to play hero to save Daya.
In response to this speculation, Matt McGory, who plays the character of Officer Bennett, posted a photo together with his co-star Laverne Cox (Sophia Burset) and captioned that he will be returning in "Orange is the New Black" Season 5.
After all, many fans think that Daya's solitary confinement makes a perfect time for Bennett to return in the show, although there is yet no report if the romantic relationship between the two will be rekindled even after their much awaited reunification. However, there are contrary speculations that Bennett might not be able to come back in the series the moment Daya is placed in isolation, for it will not be in accordance with the reality about the inmates' lives that the series aims to portray.
Meanwhile, there are also other reports suggesting that Yoga (Constance Shulman) might be the focus of "Orange is the New Black" Season 5. This means that the story behind her being put behind bars will be featured in this season. Rumor has it that her case involves killing a child while she is hallucinating.
"Orange is the New Black" Season 5 is set to premiere sometime 2017.
