"Vikings Season 4" will lead the series into a powerful death for Ragnar Lothbrok (Travis Fimmel), according to Michael Hirst. The History series creator recently pointed out that this may deal with the endgame.

The current season has all been about Ragnar Lothbrok, from his humble start to his gradual rise to power as King of Kattegat. Rumor has it that the series might shift its focus on other casts.

Aslaug was showed ruling Kattegat during Ragnar's absence making fans wonder the possibility of her forming an alliance with the ambitious King Harald Finehair to permanently rid herself of Ragnar in "Vikings" Season 4, episode 11. The recent "Vikings Season 4" midseason trailer teased the dreaded snake pit, which is alleged to be where Ragnar Lothbrok meets his end.

Some viewers think they are getting a picture of his death. However, "Vikings Season 4" will leave a more haunting pictures for fans of the History series.

When Hirst scripted the deaths of Yidu (Dianne Doan) and Kwenthrith (Amy Bailey) in the first half of "Vikings Season 4," each scene revealed a unique gravitas and showed tragedy on different levels. Series' fans could take the cue from these deaths to know how Michael Hirst will be executing the death of Ragnar Lothbrok in "Vikings Season 4."

In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Hirst said that Kwenthrith's death was meant to be a more powerful and meaningful death although it was of a supporting character. Viewers wonder how much more painful Michael Hirst design the exit of Ragnar Lothbrok from the series.

Hirst noted that this may be a fitting mood for "Vikings Season 4." A few threads will get tied up in "Vikings Season 4," among them the thread on Lagertha (Katheryn Winnick) and Aslaug (Alyssa Sutherland), Entertainment Weekly has learned.

Aslaug and King Harald Finehair connection and a possible alliance was already rumored in the first half scenes of "Vikings" Season 4. The two casts had an unusual exchange in Season 4 episode 4, where the king spoke about a princess he wanted to marry, seemingly referring to Aslaug.

In "Yol", King Harald alsodeclares that he wants to be the King of all Norway, to which Aslaug responds that he will have to overthrow Ragnar Lothbrok to achieve his goal. Whether or not the two scheme to get rid of Ragnar in "Vikings" Season 4 episode 11 will be revealed in the highly anticipated episode.
