Following "Mr. Robot" Season 2 finale, viewers are now looking forward to the happenings in the new season.  Although it may take a while to see "Mr. Robot" Season 3 on the small screens, showrunner creator Sam Esmail pointed out important aspects that viewers can expect when the award-winning cyberhacking drama returns.

The USA Network TV series will be drawing inspiration from the nation's socio-political issues that have been taking place just before the national November election. The current trends, including Donald Trump, and how he became a Republican candidate will be explored in "Mr. Robot" Season 3.

"There will be a lot of overlap," Esmail told  Deadline. "The increased terrorism and domestic violence that has gone on, a lot of that will play into the Mr. Robot universe."

Esmail also shared that he is likely to incorporate the idea of the new world war that will not be battled with the use of nukes, drones and missiles, but with the modern influence of corporate warfare, economics and information. Fans will be seeing a futuristic "Mr. Robot" Season 3, where the psychological and cultural effects of the new world war will be brought up.

The new season is about "Disintegration," as viewers will be seeing Elliot Alderson (Rami Malek) and Mr. Robot (Christian Slater) going apart during the nation's recession. The new season may shed some light on the previous season's cliffhangers, including what happened to Angela Moss (Portia Doubleday), the update on Darlene's (Carly Chaikin) relationship with Dominique DiPierro (Grace Gummer) and the fate of Mobley (Azhar Khan) and Trenton (Sunita Mani), according to Entertainment Weekly.

Just recently, Malek won his first Emmy award for outstanding actor in a drama series for playing the role of Elliot, an anti-social brilliant hacker. While in the press room, he declined to give clues about the new season, but teased reporters that he has already started shooting for "Mr. Robot" Season 3.

It is not clear when "Mr. Robot" will air, but it may probably premiere later in 2017. The two previous seasons aired in June and July, but Season 3 may take a different air date because Esmail does not want the show to look like "archaic."
