The latest updates for the new "God of War" title will feature new combat details, a release date and clarifications on the mini-games and 100 hour gameplay.
It seems that Santa Monica Studios cleared several details on the new "God War" sequel for the PlayStation 4 console as game director Cory Balrog tweeted that new game will not have a 100 hour length. Instead, it'll cover more and will be as "action packed as humanly as possible".
Balrog added that new "God of War" PS4 will not feature mini-games like the previous titles, iTechPost reported. Balrog stated that the sequel will be have a longer and action-packed storyline as humanly as possible and teases more enemy units will on screen.
Meanwhile, Santa Monica Studios revealed new combat details for "God of War". Balrog explained it is still have a fast-paced action as the combat in the sequel is going to be "satisfying as hell“ when gamers get there hands on it.
Barlog added that the new combat system is being heavily developed and adapted until the game is ready for launch. It also hinted that ther release date for "God of War" will likely happen on Fall 2017, Attack of the Fanboy reported.
Previous reports revealed that "God of War" will have Kratos and his unnamed son tackling creatures from Norse mythology as lead gameplay engineer Jeet Shroff revealed that the gameplay controls for the sequel will be more of trigger buttons rather than face buttons, as gamers will get to be more personal with Kratos rather than wide, arcing blows from previous "GoW" titles.
The father and son dynamic will come into play as Kratos can summon his son to assist him in battle. Gamers can upgrade the "Father and Son" feature to progressed in the game as lead gameplay engineer Jeet Shroff explained that Kratos' son can go toe-to-toe with his father and even kill enemies on his own.
The progression system in the sequel has now changed as it encourages gamers to play the game more than one time. It will entice people to explore to see new things and Balrog confirmed that "God of War" is not fully open-world, but it is less linear than the previous games as they have opened up the areas to make them more expansive.
The new "God of War" will likely launch on the Fall of 2017 for the PS4.
