Rumors are already rife about Samsung Galaxy Note 8 right on the heels of Galaxy Note 7. Samsung's next phablet will reportedly feature a curved display.

The upcoming Galaxy Note 8 will have many common features with the current model, including a biometric authentication, a dual-sided curved display, and a super AMOLED screen, according to Galaxy Note 7 Info. Furthermore, the new Galaxy Note phablet will reportedly ship with the best lenses available, enhanced biometric feature, and an iris scanner.

According to the publication, Qualcomm Snapdragon octa-core 3.2 GHz processor will run the Galaxy Note 8. The phablet will have at least 64 GB of internal storage memory and 6 GB of RAM. As a result, the upcoming Galaxy Note 8 will be faster than its precursor.

A recent statement from the president of Samsung's mobile business, Koh Dong-jin, shows that the South Korean tech giant will no longer release its future devices with a flat display, according to Know Your Mobile. On the contrary, all new flagship smartphones from the manufacturer will come with curved edge displays.

Dong-jin had initially said in a media conference that the tech giant has considered that it would make the edge display as the identity of the Galaxy S smartphone lineup. This would happen if Samsung can provide customers with differentiated user experience through software and user-friendly functions for the curved screen.

The company would continue the trend of making curved edge models without the EDGE name that started with the Galaxy Note 7. Besides the absence of the EDGE branding, the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 as well released alongside a flat-screened model, becoming the first smartphone in the Samsung history.

Reports suggest that because of this possible new curved-screen-only policy, the tech giant avid fans should possibly expect only one type of Galaxy Note 8 next year. Samsung is yet to provide any official information about the upcoming Galaxy Note 8, and therefore, this information should be taken with a grain of salt.
