"Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life" recently cast veteran actress Caroly Hennesy to play an important role.
According to Cinema Blend, Hennesy will play the role of a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR).
The "General Hospital" actress will give life to the character of Toni, a woman who likes to always keep things orderly.
Variety reported, "Toni has been in the club for years with Emily Gilmore (Kelly Bishop). However, it is unclear whether or not Toni and Emily have a good relationship with each other.
Meanwhile, fans have a slew of mixed reactions over the return of the DAR in the upcoming Netflix revival.
One fan couldn't help but feel excited over Hennesy's casting. "I adore Carolyn Hennesy, so anything they give her to do is great by me!"
Another fan seconded the previous statement by saying, "I love Carolyn too! Whether she is a fried or a foe of Emily's I have no doubt she'll be amazing!"
Other fans couldn't help but question the decision to include DAR in the upcoming four-episode revival.
"Side plot?? This show had no main plot!! All it had was the single most annoying TV character even in Lorelai... followed closely by Rory. Then there is the worst actor given a role in Jess. How does that guy keep getting work?"
In other news, Sutton Foster recently opened up about her inclusion in "Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life." While speaking with Today, Foster couldn't help but feel excited for her role in the show. In fact, the self-confessed "Gilmore Girls" fan couldn't believe that she landed a role in the revival.
"It was a pinch-me moment, from a fan on the couch to being in Stars Hollow," she said.
Foster will play the role of a woman who wants to take the lead role in the Stars Hollow musical. Simply put, the woman is a struggling actress who wants to make a name for herself.
"Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life" will premiere on Netflix on Nov. 25.
