The SBS variety show "Running Man" will soon feature a star-studded racing competition in an upcoming episode. Song Ji Hyo, Yoo Jae Suk and other cast members are set to compete against 100 celebrities and two special guests.
Over the years, viewers of the long-running South Korean variety show "Running Man" witnessed the various challenges that cast members and guests have had to endure. Apart from the classic name tag elimination challenge, cast members have also had to go through several scary scenarios. Some of the previous episodes even featured competitions that involved a race on both land and sea.
However, an upcoming episode of the SBS variety show will have the seven cast members in a special race, according to All Kpop. The said episode will include "Moonlight Drawn by Clouds" actress Chae Soo-Bin and veteran Korean actor Jo Jae Hyun as the show's two main guests.
Several idol members from South Korean groups such as Snuper, MONSTA X and Gugudan will also take part in the race. Aside from idol group members, other celebrities, radio and TV announcers, as well as comedians will appear in the said episode.
Details about the special race has yet to be disclosed. However, filming activities will take place in the last week of September.
In other news, "Running Man" cast member Song is set to travel to Malaysia on Oct. 1, Saturday. The actress is expected to join the grand opening festivities of the store Shoopen located in Kuala Lumpur's Fahrenheit88, Star2 reported.
Shoopen is known as one of South Korea's largest footwear stores that contain a variety of exclusive fashion brands and high-quality shoes. The Fahrenheit88 branch will serve as Shoopen's flagship store in Malaysia.
Song will also meet a few locals in a special fan meeting during her upcoming Kuala Lumpur trip. Five winners from Shoopen Malaysia's "Speed and Win" contest were given passes for the said meet and greet session.
A separate promotional contest will also offer shoppers a chance to win two tickets for a trip to South Korea. The said contest, to start on Shoopen Malaysia's grand opening day, will run until the end of October.
