Four straight German top flight champions Bayern Munich (5-0-0, 15 points) will look to continue their perfect start in the 2016-2017 Bundesliga season as they face fellow undefeated team FC Cologne (3-0-2, 11 points) on Saturday, Oct. 1 at the Allianz Arena.
Start Time and Streaming Info
The game starts at 9:30 a.m. ET. It can be viewed live online thru FuboTV.
Bayern Munich has won its first four games of the season in lopsided fashion, crushing Werder Bremen (6-0), Schalke (2-0), Ingolstadt (3-1), and Hertha Berlin (3-0) in succession.
However, they were pushed to the limit in their most recent game against Hamburger SV at the Imtech Arena last Saturday, but the Bavarians still pulled off a 1-0 win, as per Goal.
The game was scoreless for the most part as head coach Carlo Ancelotti's men found it hard to penetrate the stingy Hamburg defense despite the presence of attackers Robert Lewandowski, Thomas Müller, and Kingsley Coman.
It was only until the 88th minute, two minutes before the full time whistle would sound, that the team broke the match's deadlock with a six-yard right-footed shot from defender Joshua Kimmich off an assist by winger Franck Ribery following a fast break.
Meanwhile, Cologne was also able to keep itself from losing in the first five rounds of the season, pulling off three wins and two draws so far.
They are expected to have a hard time keeping their unbeaten record against the Bavarians, though, and would need something short of a miracle to get a win on the road.
The team's last match was a 1-1 draw with newly-promoted side RB Leipzig last Sunday at the RheinEnergieStadion, BBC Sport reported.
Scottish midfielder Oliver Burke opened the scoring for the Bulls right at the fifth minute of the game before Cologne's Japanese striker Yuya Osako leveled the count 20 minutes later. It proved to be the final score as both sides failed to score another goal for the rest of the match.
